Our Vision

Our agreements and contracts are complex and have a long history of change and interpretation. We have built a skilled team of Business Representatives, along with our legal counsel in order to police and enforce our agreements. We remain committed to this work, as each claim or grievance won strengthens our position and our power at work. In the last year, we have recovered over $3.8 million in wages and benefits that our members deserved but were denied by studios and producers. We plan to increase our representation efforts and continue to push for improving your safety protections.

Union organizing is a priority as it empowers our members to secure higher wages and access essential benefits, pensions, and healthcare. Our team of Directors has over 70 combined years of union organizing experience, and we plan to put our expertise into action alongside our members. Every production, commercial, and opportunity to build power for our members matters. We will grow the relationships needed, put tools in our members hands, and fight for every production to be union. 

Union contract negotiations are the cornerstone of our collaborative efforts between members and staff. Our experienced team is dedicated to leading negotiations in News Broadcast, Sports Broadcast, and Motion Picture. During the 2024 basic agreement negotiations, we focused on educating, engaging, and advocating for all our members. The historic results we achieved are a testament to our hard work, and with the solidarity we continue to build, there is no limit to what we can accomplish together.

We have made improvements to many departments within our Union, and look forward to hearing from our members  about other areas where interacting with Local 600 can be more positive.
